A living memorial for your animal companion

RUDI

April 22, 2007 - May 4, 2019

Today we are taking a ride down Schnauzer Lane. It is here that we are picking up our newest member of our family, Rudi. She is a Miniature Schnauzer, as cute as cute can be. She was on the shy side at first but warmed up to us quickly.

We took her home and introduced her to her older brother, Romeo, who is also a Miniature Schnauzer. After three days, they became best of friends. One of her most favorite things to do is to take the toys away from Romeo. But that is what puppies do.

We noticed at an early age that she was constantly licking her paws. Researching on the Internet, we thought she may have allergies. We had her tested and found out she was allergic to 39 things including food. So, she went on a Limited Ingredient Diet.

In general, Rudi was a loner. She liked to be by herself most of the time but would let us know when she wanted to be with us. One thing unique to her, was her bark. Every day when I came home, she would greet me by the door and her bark sounded like a rooster. It was the cutest thing. We called her the Rudinator, and Rudi rooster.

On March 2, 2010, Rudi lost her older brother Romeo, to cancer. It was a very sad day for all of us. During the next few months, our friends, and neighbors, noticed a difference in Rudi. She was becoming very depressed and standing behind us. She didn't want to socialize with anyone. She missed Romeo so very much.

Knowing she missed him so much, we introduced her to her new brother, Remington. Remington and Rudi were both born on April 22nd, three years apart. They were meant to be together. What a change in Rudi. She was happyfull of energy again.

Sad to say, Rudi lost her battle with a heart condition and failing kidney on May 4, 2019. You are truly missed by daddy, mommy, and Remington.
